It's on FX on Tuesday's at 10:30. Figured I'd share it for tonight's post. Check it out. Voiced by H. Jon Benjamin who is from Worcester, Massachusetts as well.

Obama's Re-Election Chances.

This is a tough subject, and the reason behind blogging about this is because I'm not seeing enough of it in the news. Obama certainly seems like he's got a rocky hill to climb, but what are his actual chances?

This all comes in spite of having a supremely deep conversation with one of my co-workers today. Me being the energized political enthusiast that I am, I began to defend Obama's presidency thus far without even doing my research as to what he's done lately. While the highly controversial health care bill that passed into law, I'd say Obama has been doing more than a decent job as president. Now, keeping in fact that I am not an extreme liberal, nor a right wing conservative, I think it's a fair assumption that the bad economy cannot be blamed on Obama alone. I would clearly say that the backlash in terms of the banking system and a refugee of old industries that have been taken over by computers and machines has led to a long lasting recession that will force this country into a new direction.

The old industries that America once thrived on, such as car factories, and mining mills, as well as other production factories have now been taken overseas by cheaper labor and a lower cost of production for the same items. This is why our toys and electronics are made overseas as opposed to on American soil. Big Business is trying to lower costs, thus sending away jobs.

I could comment on a few other things, but in this case I'll leave it short. What do you think Obama's chances of being re-elected are? There is so much coverage about the Republican nomination, and personally I believe Mitt Romney will get it. (The other candidates seem to be coming out of their own sort of reality TV show) and it's truly terrifying. I wonder who will come out on top, but more importantly, why isn't Obama being covered as thoroughly as other Presidents have been in their terms. The last single term president was George H. Bush, and that was a bit before my time. But with the last two Presidents being two term presidents, does this mean we're destined for another two term President? What do you think of the Republican Candidates?

The Art of Seduction

Now that I've finished 'The 48 Laws of Power" by Robert Greene and re-read it in various order, I've moved on to his earlier book called, "The Art of Seduction."

Now in this one it literally gives you step by step instructions on how to win and dominate over someone. It relieves factual information through a variety of circumstances giving you options and advice on what exactly to do at opportune times. It doesn't assure that you will attain the woman of your dreams but through my 22 years of existence what I've read so far the book reveals a pretty good fucking way to approach and attack an issue, such as trying to date the girl of your dreams.

The cool thing about what I've read so far is that it's not just about women. It could easily be used as a tactic in the board room, or to convince your consumer that you're the person they should be dealing with. It's a solid way, with thoughtful advice on how to get people to obsess over you. The stereotypical Romeo articles that most guys read about women on the internet are pretty lame and end up with these average joes trying to get you to buy their book or DVD for sale. Avoid those articles and buy, "The Art of Seduction" by Robert Greene.

Here is a quick link fix to see what I'm talking about http://www.seductiontuition.com/robert-greene/art-of-seduction.html

Quote of the Day 11/21/2011

"All people who live, die. But, not all people who die have lived."

Repeat this in your head several times before you walk out the door in the morning. You'd be surprised at the impact it will have on your day.

Red Bull Crashed Ice

http://www.redbull.com/cs/Satellite/en_INT/Video/Highlights-of-Red-Bull-Crashed-Ice-021242995857780

Just came across 'Red Bull Crashed Ice'

Little to say it's awesome check it out.

Better than a cup of coffee.

While we're on the subject of extreme sports and watching videos in our morning journalism classes (wink wink) Let's share a few more shall we? The first one is again of Jeb Corliss wingsuiting around the world. Literally he is jumping from mountain tops to different portions in Switzerland. Just sit back and enjoy as his idea of a thrill is more than one near death experience within a matter of minutes.
You can go for the ride without experiencing those actual near death scares.
The second is about the Go Pro Hero 2. A new kind of camera that has just come out. You definitely want one of these because they are kick ass. Checkout the views and uses that they have in this video. Makes you want to get one eh? 400 bucks. Where can I sign up and get sponsored?

Jeb Corliss Through The Hole.

Incredible video of one of my favorite wingsuiter/B.A.S.E. pilots. Corliss jumpes off Tianmen Mountain and goes right through a hole in a mountain. It's ridiculous. Watch it, learn it, get fueled by it. I still watch it and am amazed by it.

Winning the hearts and minds of others.

Before you decide to un-screw your head, know that attempting to win other people over is a futile effort. Some people are infamously lucky but at no point will you ever win everyone over, despite one's good looks and charisma.

It's tough and we all do it. At some point, sometimes when we don't even know it, we try to win others over by promising empty things or by trying too hard. This in turn may make people hate you. Accept the simple fact that you will not please everyone in your life. You will be bound to piss someone (it will be massive amounts of people whether you know it or not) off throughout the course of your life. Often we make the mistake of being too honest, or by hiding something that comes out later. You've got to just accept it and not let these minor annoyances of human error get to you. This all stems from a momentary lapse I had with a few friends today in which I could feel their apparent anger through the frailty of their words.

In my case I would much rather have someone tell me that I am doing a shitty job to my face, rather than get the vibe or hear through the grapevine that they're pissed off about something. It's too often in today's society that people try to send messages through subtle hints, and when others don't understand them people get pissed off. Girls are infamous for attempting subtle hints. Don't mix your words in messages, be forthcoming in your speech and things will unmask in your daily activities.

Lastly, to bring this full circle, just accept that despite your potential good looks, award winning achievements, awesome stories, and near perfect charisma that not everyone will be 'won over' by you. This goes for me as well and my sometimes feigning of a cocky attitude has cost me a bit more than I would have liked in certain situations. So, I beg of you to not attempt to win other people over with anything but you being you. Anything else people will see through and quickly poke holes in your overreaching defense.

If you can relate to this, or have a story yourself, I'd love to hear it. - Cam

The ex Factor.

Look, we are all humans. And like humans we all have emotions. Chances are your google searches for questions to your ex problems have led you here. Whether you're searching for ways to get him or her back, or trying to figure out how to get over them, let me help you out with a few gratifying pieces of knowledge I have learned so far.

Now, I've had my hands full with emotions, and been beaten down in terms of bad relationship business and the truth is that we all will be at some point in our lifetimes. You need to understand that controlling your emotions is the key whether getting over it, trying to win them back, dealing with them dating someone else  or whatever your final goal will be. Let me hit you with a few steps in order to help you achieve your final destination.

#1 Make a final goal.
What the hell do you want? Do you want them back, or do you want to get over them? Figure it out so you can start making progress in whatever direction you ultimately want to heading in.

#2 Control Your Emotions.
You've got to learn how to keep your mouth closed. If you've ever come across the infamous never-ending talker you'll notice that these people tend to hang themselves with their own words. There are huge benefits to the, "out of sight out of mind" quote. But believe that when you stop mentioning your ex in daily conversation, you will be amazed by the progress you make and much less you think about them. Fight your emotions, and get busy living or get busy crying.

#3 Stay Active.
If you've got to write yourself motivational post it notes then do it. One of the biggest things is accepting that you're going to feel shitty at some point. Male or female we all have emotions that we're going to suffer from especially when dealing with an ex. They are going to date, and do whatever they can to get over you or get you back. And if you both aren't on the same page, which is ever rarely the case, then you've got to exude confidence and show that you are 're-inventing' yourself to the max. Start saying hello to strangers, force yourself to go to the gym and do things you hadn't before. You will derive awesome confidence by pushing yourself out of the box. Immerse yourself in a whole new world of activities, hang out with friends and do whatever you gotta do to get your mind distracted. Excess in drugs or alcohol will not help you.

Picture of The Day.

Pick and Roll.

I'll delve into more details later, but just know that when life throws you a curve ball you've got one of two options. Stand there and get hit or move out of the way.

Going with the flow requires a lot of effort on your part. Sometimes we as people get thrown off our track, and through my 22 years thus far I feel as if I'm increasingly learning that instead of swimming up stream you've got to turn it around and make that river yours.

So whatever mini-situation (remember there's always someone better or worse off than you) that you're dealing with, keep the pick and roll technique in mind and you cannot be defeated.

Make those problems of today objects of laughter later.

Good luck- Cam

Rosy Red Cheeks.

You clearly remember the days when you would get red in the cheeks when you liked a girl, or even were attempting to get her number in high school. But I bet you never imagined it would happen to you in college, at least I didn't. And to my amazement I've struggled the past few weeks.

Being a senior in college, and with enough confidence to get me through it with relative ease, I never expected to have issues when trying to get girls, and as of last I have. Who knows, is it a funk? Am I messing up? Is my notoriety up?

Perhaps its the loads of course work and not being organized enough. I can feel it in my bones you know? I'm trying to shake it, and in the past I've written a number of articles on how to get out of a funk, or just advise people to go to the gym. But it's funny, maybe I'm giving bad advice? Cause I'm starting to notice a trend of these stupid problems that keep re-occurring.

On the search for a lady friend for the winter season I'm struggling, and I don't like it. Sometimes you can be your own worst enemy, and I can sure as hell kick my own ass sometimes. I'll let you know how if I can stop acting like a 6th grader anytime soon.

I can feel it. It's time for a change. I'll keep ya posted, especially if I get that cute girls number. - Cam

video of the day: Wingsuit Mountain Carving.

Wingsuit Mountain Carving.

This is unreal. I'm in class right now pretending to do some digital journalism homework, but instead I've been drooling over Team Phoenix Flight, who are some badass wingsuit pilots. Just watch the above video.

Nothing like some near death experiences first thing in the morning to wake you up.

Blake Mycoskie is a genius.

I'm currently reading, "Start something that matters." by Blake Mycoskie, the revolutionary person who started the TOMS company.

In the book, Blake describes the story of TOMS and how he began his first steps, after a few failures early on, Blake eventually developed the idea of starting TOMS on a trip to Argentina. While I'd like to give you a high synopsis on the book, I really have only started it. Take comfort in the idea that Blake's shoe company takes the idea of selling one pair of shoes, and donating the other pair to a child in need in a third world country. The idea has turned into a great success and Blake's company has greatly taken off. Anyway if you get a chance, go pick up his book. I will keep you updated on more of the stuff that comes out of the book. I can't wait to keep reading it, as it's hopefully stirring up some deep motivation in me.

Shorter days, shorter tempers.

So when the leaves finally begin to fall, and the days start to be a little bit shorter, we all find ourselves with a little bit less patience. Personally for me, the holidays, more importantly Christmas time just doesn't seem to be what it has always been played out to be. The packed shopping malls and too many people fussing about signals to me that it's more about the materialization of society, rather than spending time with family. Perhaps I'm getting older, perhaps I'm a bit more cynical, but every year I just get a little bit less patient and find myself wishing I was further away from those sardine-like shopping malls and somewhere else shredding down the mountain on my Forum 161 Wide Snowboard. But that's just me.

It's a lovely Sunday afternoon, and despite the incessant amount of work that I've got to do, I'm going to be listening to this song before ultimate frisbee practice, and definitely later on when the stress has finally subsided, either way it'll get me through the day. It's my all time favorite death metal band that has just come out with a new CD Check it out below.

Skydive Videos are the best....and the scariest.

I could literally watch these all day, and if you continue to check this blog you're going to be in for a treat.
Premature deployments in skydiving suck, they are also terrifying and are never 'wished upon' somebody because they can indeed be catastrophic. Being a experienced skydiver, you must be prepared for any and all malfunctions, and it can be to your advantage to understand what some of these look like. Here are a few examples listed below. I hope you can learn something from this, and all  understand that there is indeed so much to skydiving and all of its participants.

Good luck and god speed.

Head down premature deployment.

Sit Fly premature deployment.
