Playing Catch Up.

With all the political nonsense going on, I've completely dropped the ball on blogging. So much to speak about. Oddly enough, with the my last semester on the books here in the Spring of 2012, I've finally realized my passion for politics.

Political Science is my reality television, and while I could never run for public office at such a high level, my feelings toward the government as a tool to help create change and influence policy has driven me to take a serious interest in it. While my major is journalism, and minor is political science, I become grappled in the political process and urged to read www.huffpost.com daily as well as www.salon.com and www.cnn.com

Obviously the Republican Presidential Primary has been thrilling nonetheless. To me it's shocking that Newt Gingrich could come away with a win in South Carolina. Mitt Romney's win was reversed in Iowa, so this means out of the three primaries that three winners have came out. With Florida coming up next Tuesday, will the 4th Republican candidate Ron Paul come away with a win? He's been steady in the back field but hasn't won yet, and I don't believe he will get the nomination. I think if Gingrich keeps portraying Romney as a heartless bastard, he could pull a surprise and take the nomination. If Romney ever gets a spine, then he could end up with the nomination.

Obama Should be so lucky. We'll get to another blog post about his state of the union address (I think he knocked it out of the park) but that's another post.

And let me get one thing straight, I think our government needs a lot of work, Each state is becoming more diverse and different, while our Senators in Washington are pushing their heads further up their asses, so unfortunately there are still a lot of problems that need fixing. I don't believe whatsoever that any man can change the world in 4 or 8 years, but I strongly believe Barack Obama, despite all the despicable things people say about him, is the right man for the job. Congress is also another blogpost, but let's take a break here.

I'll be back on the blogging front, talking about my recent International Service Trip to Jamaica among other things, and we'll get back to speaking of more traveling opportunities, politics, recent book reads, and extreme sports. All the most important things in life.

See you on the flip side. - Cam
