Working hard is one of the toughest things to do in this world, but if you do it long enough you may reap the benefits and see the fruits of your labor.
Not enough people get recognized for the hard work. Being the young adult that I am, in no way am I complaining that my hard work has not been recognized. I'm pointing out something a little bit different here. Over the past few years I can easily remember co-workers or bosses that I've had the opportunity to work with who have truly gone above and beyond. And it's so obvious when someone is working hard because you can feel their drive, their passion into whatever they are doing. Not everyone is in love with what they do, but people that work hard, in my eyes, often don't get cited enough for it. So this post is for the hard workers out there.
I've been told a number of times that you don't always need to work harder, you need to work smarter. Well, that's not a viable solution for everyone, and in fact some people labor away, destroying their bodies and their backs to send their kids to school just to finance their lifestyle. While a number of things are true, such is the fact that we live in a free society, and easily enjoy some of the best that the world has to offer, we still face a number of problems.
Majority (almost 99 percent) of the middle class will rise up into the upper class in America. The richest of the rich will continue to stay rich and are widening the gap between the rich and the poor daily.
Which brings me back to the idea that I've been toying with for the entire day. I'm working three jobs to make money but in reality I still have a family that supports me and cares of my general welfare. So it's already expected that I work pretty hard. But what about the people that don't have that safety net? What about the single moms that work three jobs to support their basic needs? What about other single parents of families in much more dire circumstances? Perhaps I'm very uneducated in my economics department, but I'm disgusted that so many wealthy families had been freaking out about the economic downturn of the past several years in this country. A high number of these 'well off' families have not a clue what a dire circumstance really is.
And the same goes for me, I'll be the first one to tell you I don't really know a damn thing in this world, but I can recognize some good when I see it, and for those people busting their butts to make ends meet and trying to do some good in this world for those they care about, I tip my hat to you and only you.
